This Privacy Policy explains how [legal entity operating MotoFit] ("MotoFit," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the MotoFit app for Shopify and this website.

1. Information we collect

When a merchant installs MotoFit, we receive store information through the Shopify API needed to operate the app, including the shop domain, product and catalog data, and app configuration settings. Where a merchant connects a WPS, Parts Unlimited, or Turn 14 Distribution feed, we process that catalog data to match fitment to the merchant's products. We also collect basic usage data about how the app and this website are used, and any information a merchant or visitor provides directly, such as an email address submitted through the newsletter form or a demo booking.

2. How we use information

• To provide the fitment search widget, product-page fitment tables, and catalog syncing that make up the Service.
• To operate billing through Shopify and manage subscriptions and trials.
• To provide support when a merchant contacts us.
• To send product updates or fitment tips to those who opt in, and to schedule demos booked through our calendar tool.
• To maintain the security and reliability of the Service.

3. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We share information with service providers who help us operate MotoFit and this website, for example hosting providers, our email marketing platform, and our scheduling tool, each of which processes data only to provide that specific service to us. We may also disclose information where required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of MotoFit, our merchants, or others.

5. Data retention

We retain store and fitment data for as long as MotoFit is installed on a store, and for a reasonable period afterward in case of reinstallation, after which it is deleted from our active systems. Billing records are retained as required for accounting and legal purposes.

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Merchant customers should also be aware of Shopify's own privacy practices, which apply independently to data Shopify processes on the merchant's behalf.
